Better home living is what people are always looking for; heat up when the weather or climate is too cold or cool down when the climate is too hot. The first devices that were used to cool down when the weather is too humid are fans, usually hand fans. These became symbols of status in the ancient world, where the members of the upper society were followed by slaves who fanned them everywhere, using large fabric or feather fans. The development of electricity paved way to the development of electric fans such as stand fans, wall fans and ceiling fans. However, with the advancement of technology, the air conditioning systems swept the market, making lots of electric fan companies be indebted or shift to air conditioning systems manufacturing.
Yet, as time went by, central air conditioning systems became more expensive since these would take up much of the soaring electric bills of establishments such as offices, malls, and even homes. Some studies also revealed that these air conditioning systems emit harmful chemicals, such as CFC (chloro-floro-carbon) materials which cause the depletion of the ozone layer and experience greenhouse effect. Because of this, many consumers went back to the basics; that is, using electric fans instead. Because people are now used on centralized air conditioning, the development of house fans was made.
House fans are cheaper and safer ways on handling the temperature in an establishment. Hampton Bay ceiling fans are medium to large fans, with three to four blades, which help in the circulation of the air that is coming in and out of an establishment, particularly, a home. There are the ceiling mounted house fans and there are the ducted house fans. The ducted house fans are mounted away from the ceiling, which allow the exhaustion of heat to a different part of a building. The ceiling mounted house fans are those that are directly mounted between the main part of the building and the ceiling. Cold air is drawn into the windows of building because the hot air inside the building would be removed and transferred to the attic space, which in turn goes out through exhaust fans or vents.
The performance of an outdoor ceiling fan would depend on the number of blades, the size of the blades and the size of the motor. The larger the fans used the larger amount of air is being pushed up. This means that less energy is needed to remove the hot air from your home. These good qualities are beneficial to the pockets of ordinary people. However, this kind of air circulation has its own disadvantage. House fans do not filter the air that is coming inside your home or building. You may need to find other ways to filter air, so that you would take in only fresh and clean air.
